Step 03 of 04

Open a business bank account

Keep business money and personal money apart from day one.

A business account keeps your records clean and protects the line between you and your LLC. Open it as soon as you have your EIN.

  1. Gather your papersUsually: your approved Articles of Organization, your EIN letter, your operating agreement and your photo ID. Ask your bank for its exact list.
  2. Compare feesMonthly fees, minimum balances and deposit limits differ a lot between banks and credit unions.
  3. Open a checking accountAll business money comes in and goes out here, nothing personal.
  4. Open a savings account for taxesA separate account just for tax money, so it's there when tax season comes. See the next guide.

Not legal or tax advice. MyRevival shares general information for education. It is not medical, legal or tax advice.
